Worker Terms

Last updated 2026-07-03

Who these terms cover

These Worker Terms apply to experts and contributors ('you', 'Experts') who accept and perform work through the Pathwize platform. By accepting an engagement, you agree to these terms in addition to any specific task or project brief.

Engagement and classification

Experts are engaged with clean, jurisdiction-correct worker classification. Unless a written agreement states otherwise, you perform work as an independent contractor, not as an employee of Pathwize or of any customer, and you are responsible for your own taxes, social contributions and any registrations required in your jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship.

Honest hybrid workflow and provenance

Work follows an honest hybrid workflow: AI may draft, but you review, override where needed, and own the final human judgment. Your contributions and the human step are recorded in the provenance trail so that the origin and review of each output can be evidenced. You agree that these records may be retained and shared with the relevant customer as part of the deliverable.

Quality, conduct and confidentiality

You agree to perform work with professional skill and care, follow the applicable brief and guidelines, and provide honest, original judgment. You will keep customer materials and any non-public information confidential, use them only to perform the work, and not disclose or retain them beyond what is necessary. You will not submit unlawful, infringing or knowingly false content.

Intellectual property

To the extent permitted by law, you assign to Pathwize (for onward assignment to the relevant customer) all intellectual property rights in the work product you create for a paid engagement, effective on payment. You waive any moral rights to the extent permitted. You retain your pre-existing materials and general skills and know-how.

Payments

Approved work is paid at the rate stated in the task or project brief. Payouts are made across the EU/EEA through our payment providers (for example Stripe Connect or Wise) on the schedule stated in the brief, typically weekly. You are responsible for providing accurate payment and tax details. Fees may be withheld or reversed for work that is not delivered, fails quality review, or breaches these terms.

Data protection

Pathwize processes your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. Where you process personal data on behalf of a customer as part of the work, you must follow the applicable instructions and safeguards and process it only for the purpose of the engagement.

Term and termination

These terms apply while you use the platform or perform engagements. Either party may end the relationship at any time, subject to completing or handing over accepted work. Confidentiality, intellectual property and payment obligations that by their nature should survive will continue after termination.
