Purpose of this statement
This statement explains how Pathwize supports customers who build or deploy AI systems, including high-risk systems, in meeting relevant obligations under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act). It is provided for information and does not constitute legal advice or a warranty of compliance for any specific AI system.
Article 10, data governance
Pathwize supports documented data governance for training, validation and testing data. We record the origin and handling of data, apply review and quality steps, and maintain the provenance needed to help customers evidence appropriate data governance and quality management practices under Article 10.
Annex IV, technical documentation
Per-batch lineage bundles map to Annex IV fields, including a description of the data used, its provenance, labelling and review methodology, and the human oversight applied. These bundles are designed to slot into a customer's technical documentation for a high-risk AI system.
Provenance and lineage
Each output carries a lineage record linking it to the contributor, the review step and the applicable instructions, so that the human judgment behind the data can be evidenced rather than assumed. Records are retained and made available to the relevant customer as part of the deliverable.
Human oversight
Pathwize's honest hybrid workflow keeps a credential-verified expert in control of the final judgment. AI may draft, but the expert reviews, overrides where needed, and the human step is recorded, supporting the human oversight expectations that apply to high-risk AI systems.
Roles and responsibilities
The customer remains the provider or deployer of its AI system and is responsible for its own obligations under the EU AI Act, including risk management, conformity assessment and post-market monitoring. Pathwize acts as a data and workforce layer that provides evidence and provenance to support those obligations.
