Where the usual approach falls short
Crowd workers cannot judge clinical correctness
A medical answer can look fluent and be dangerously wrong. Only a clinician in the right specialty can tell the safe answer from the plausible one.
No provenance for a regulated domain
Medical AI is high-risk under the EU AI Act. If you cannot show who produced each label and how they were qualified, the documentation does not hold up.
Sensitive data leaving the EU
Clinical data worked by annotators outside the EU, or downloaded onto personal machines, is a residency and privacy problem before it is a quality one.
