Pathwize is looking for people with a geoscience or environmental background to label minerals, soils, aggregates, waste streams and environmental imagery for AI models. You'll classify and segment materials and flag anomalies or contaminants.

Every contribution is captured with a verifiable, EU-native provenance trail, so the data you produce is auditable by design. Flexible, hourly, remote contract work you can do alongside studies or a job.

• You'll work through discrete image and data tasks with clear instructions and, where useful, a short onboarding call so the material and mineral distinctions are unambiguous.
• Fully remote and asynchronous, no minimum-hour requirement; most contributors work roughly 5 to 20 hours per week on active projects.
• Quality and consistency matter: the same labellers stay on the same task, and work is measured against a golden dataset.

• Studies or experience in geology, geography, mineralogy, environmental technology or science, or agricultural / earth sciences.
• Able to reliably identify common minerals, soils, aggregates or waste materials from photos and data.
• German language a strong plus (client communication is often in German); clear written English also fine.
• Attention to detail and comfort following written labelling guidelines.
• Right to work in the EU or EEA (Pathwize is EU-native; all data stays in the EU).
