Construction & building materials

Pathwize is looking for people with a construction or building-materials background to label images of construction and demolition materials for AI models. You'll identify and classify materials such as concrete, brick, calcium-silicate stone, aggregates and mixed rubble, and flag contaminants (plastics, wood, metal).

Every contribution is captured with a verifiable, EU-native provenance trail, so the data you produce is auditable by design. Flexible, hourly, remote contract work you can do alongside studies or a job.

• You'll work through discrete image tasks (classification and segmentation) with clear instructions and, where useful, a short onboarding call so the material distinctions are unambiguous.
• Fully remote and asynchronous, no minimum-hour requirement; most contributors work roughly 5 to 20 hours per week on active projects.
• Quality and consistency matter: the same labellers stay on the same task, and work is measured against a golden dataset.

• Studies or experience in civil engineering, architecture, building-materials or materials science, or a closely related field.
• Able to reliably tell apart common construction and demolition materials from photos.
• German language a strong plus (client communication is often in German); clear written English also fine.
• Attention to detail and comfort following written labelling guidelines.
• Right to work in the EU or EEA (Pathwize is EU-native; all data stays in the EU).
